Practical Training in Territorial Planning 2026
Between the 18th and the 22nd of May 2026, students from the Faculty of Geography at Babeș-Bolyai University will take part in a new edition of the Practical Training in Territorial Planning, organised by the Centre for Regional Geography in the District of Huedin (Ținutul Huedinului) and the Land of Călata (Țara Călatei) (Cluj County).
This year’s theme highlights the cultural, rural–urban and traditional–modern interferences in north-western Transylvania, within a territory shaped by the coexistence of Romanian, Hungarian and Roma communities. Through field research, interviews, GIS analysis, storytelling and the use of digital technologies (VR, 360° tours), participants will propose concrete solutions for the sustainable development of local communities.
