Degraded Tourist Landscapes in the North-West Region
On Friday, 21 November 2025, the Centre for Regional Geography hosted a workshop organised by the Centre for Geographical Research of the Romanian Academy – Cluj-Napoca Branch, dedicated to degraded tourist landscapes.
While tourism arouses interest through its bright aspects, the aesthetics of ugliness associated with the tourist landscape are no less important. Using examples from the North-West Region, a team of researchers presented potential solutions for their remediation backed up by scientific arguments.
