Hosted by Babeş-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca – Faculty of Economic Sciences and Business Administration, in partnership with the Faculty of European Studies and the Faculty of Geography, the conference included more than 80 papers and more than 150 participants from various universities, research institutes and administrative institutions from Romania and abroad.
Viewed from the perspective of interdisciplinarity, the conference theme followed the main development directions of the European regional phenomenon, namely the effects of the transition economy on territorial cohesion, regional clusters and SMEs, the paradigm of the new economic growth, endogenous economic growth, rural and regional interferences, governance in the knowledge-based society, migration and job market imbalances.
