With a Socio-Political Issue from Cameroon at the CGR Meetings in Cluj-Napoca
The April edition of the CGR Meetings hosted a presentation delivered by Professor Sergiu Mişcoiu, from the Faculty of European Studies and Director of the Center for African Studies within Babeş-Bolyai University. The field documentation carried out in Cameroon allowed the guest speaker to present some of the research results associated with African clientelism in general and Cameroonian in particular. Despite the more than 300 existing local parties, the totalitarian regime of President Paul Biya has generated the consolidation of a clientelistic system via political-administrative elites known as ‘Creatures’.
