On Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Personal Leadership – Online Workshop with Cristina Nichita
Communities need leaders. An authentic leader is the one who knows the team, who knows how to attract, value the capacity and abilities of each member of the team, mobilize resources and guide the joint effort towards achieving the objectives. But in order to know others, a leader must first know himself or herself. In order to lead others, it is necessary that he or she first knows how to lead himself or herself. Therefore, the road to developing leadership skills begins with personal leadership.
On the 29th of March 2023, the participants in the leadership and entrepreneurship workshop for the students and master’s students of the Faculty of Geography had Mrs. Cristina Nichita as their “guide” in this endeavour. Starting from personal examples extracted from the experiences accumulated in more than 28 years of entrepreneurship, combined with her experience as a trainer, coach, speaker, politician and founder of a courageous social entrepreneurship initiative, the guest of the March edition of the CGR Meetings used the leader’s diagram to present the four aspects necessary for those who want to develop themselves and get involved in the development of their own communities: self-knowledge, ability to imagine and plan, courage to take action, and state of presence in the activities undertaken. The practical activities included self-knowledge and analysis exercises, through which the participants learned to identify and prioritize their personal values that dictate their choices, but also to evaluate the eight areas included in the Wheel of Life identity test, designed by Tony Robbins, well-known internationally as an author, motivational speaker, and coach.
