About Climate Services from the Perspective of a Climatologist
In Professor Adina-Eliza Croitoru’s opinion, the guest of the October edition of the CGR Meetings, climate fulfils a triple role: of resource (in terms of its renewable energy potential, the cultural tourist activities, outdoor events or agricultural crops), of limit (for different forms of transport and tourist activities), but also of threat (by the manifestation of some tropical and extratropical cyclones or phenomena associated with Cumulonimbus clouds). Moreover, all this is translated today by the concept of climate services and the information and the way of communicating these services to the society is becoming extremely important.
