On 4 and 5 December 2018, CEDITER, the international, multidisciplinary and francophone network for territorial research, organized a scientific event entitled “Rencontres CEDITER”. The event took place in the capital city of France, in one of the former greenhouses of the Garden of Tropical Agronomy (Le Jardin d’Agronomie Tropicale). The shaping of new territorial identities, the emergence of new territories, the transfer of innovation in the territory, the need to optimize the existing territorial policies were subjects of reflection for all participants present.

Members of the Centre for Regional Geography – Cocean Pompei, Pop Ana-Maria, Hognogi Gheorghe-Gavrilă, and Papp Lelia – participated in this event with a presentation focused on highlighting microregional policies, having as case study the “ţară” (land) and “ţinut” (district) types of territorial units in Romania.
