Romania – a State without an Integrated Network of Cycling and Pedestrian Tourism Routes

The guest of the February edition of the CGR Meetings was Radu Mititean, lawyer, Executive Director of “Napoca” Cycling Club and President of the Romanian Cyclists’ Federation. The two topics discussed were associated with the long-distance routes for pedestrian and cycling tourism in Romania and the manner they might be integrated into a national network. The main solution would be to regulate this aspect through legislative measures. At present, in Romania, there are a series of routes for pedestrian and cycling tourism, but they are individual ones, overlapping mountain massifs, without continuity at territorial level.
